Refund Policy

Last Updated: 29 Jun 2025

At One Stop Makeovers (OSM), we strive to provide exceptional service and high-quality creative work in prosthetic makeup, body painting, and SFX makeup. Due to the highly customized and time-sensitive nature of our work, we have established the following Refund Policy to ensure clarity and fairness for both clients and our team.

General Refund Conditions

  • Refund requests must be made in writing via email or official communication channel within the allowed timeframe (see below).

  • Refunds will be assessed based on the nature of the booking, preparation work already completed, and materials used or purchased.

  • All advance payments are considered as part of a non-refundable commitment unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of booking.

Timeframe for Requesting a Refund

  • For project cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled work date: A refund of up to 50% of the advance may be processed, depending on pre-production costs already incurred.

  • For cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled date: No refund will be provided, as materials are likely prepped and booking slots reserved.

  • For same-day cancellations or no-shows: 100% of the fee will be retained.

Refund Eligibility by Service Type

A. Prosthetic Makeup

  • Prosthetic work involves custom sculpting, molding, casting, and specialized material orders.

  • If work has already commenced (e.g., sculpting or mold-making), no refund will be issued, regardless of cancellation timing.

  • If cancelled before any labor or material is invested, a partial refund may be granted after deducting any material procurement costs.

B. Body Painting

  • For simple or standard designs, a 50% refund is possible if cancelled at least 5 days in advance.

  • For custom or large-scale designs, where design planning or airbrush stenciling has begun, refunds may be partial or void based on prep work.

  • Once the painting has started or the artist is on-site, no refunds will be offered.

C. SFX Makeup

  • SFX work involves pre-production planning (e.g., creating wounds, trauma effects, rigging blood tubing, etc.) and therefore is partially refundable only before production begins.

  • If cancelled before fabrication, up to 30–50% of the paid amount may be refunded depending on the stage of prep.

  • If cancelled after on-site execution begins, no refund will be processed.

Non-Refundable Scenarios

No refund will be issued under the following conditions:

  • If the client changes their mind after work has started.

  • If a client is dissatisfied due to failure to provide accurate briefs, references, or allergy/sensitivity disclosures.

  • If environmental conditions (e.g., lighting, climate, or space issues) at the shoot/event interfere with application or final results.

  • If there are delays caused by the client (e.g., late arrivals, unprepared setups, incomplete payments).

  • If custom orders (e.g., prosthetic pieces, paints, adhesives) have already been purchased specifically for the project.

Rescheduling Instead of Refund

In case of unforeseen emergencies, we offer one free rescheduling, provided the client informs us at least 72 hours in advance. Rescheduling is subject to availability and must occur within 30 days of the original date.

Refund Processing Timeline

  • Approved refunds (full or partial) will be processed within 7–14 working days of written confirmation.

  • Refunds will be credited through the same payment method originally used (bank transfer/UPI/etc.).

Agreement to Policy

By booking any service with OSM, the client acknowledges and agrees to abide by this Refund Policy. This ensures a professional and transparent working relationship for all parties involved.
